The Vaal, with birds abound, is studded with Tree-covered islands of which several have been developed into pleasure resorts. Despite being so close to the most industrialized part of South Africa, much of the Vaal River is renowned for its beauty and the opportunity it provides for a restful escape. Kayanzee is an excellent example of this "escapism" close to urban sprawl. Set in an area of excellent bird life, with the added attraction of wild life around it, there is the obvious advantage of good fishing at hand. Many other outdoor activities can be arranged, while accommodation is taken care of by luxury rooms equipped with modern comforts. |
